Many of us are going through the same things alone because we don’t share…
Sometimes I’m happy, sometimes I’m sad. I don’t know what’s over me… I’m overthinking everything. At times it feels like nobody can understand the way I feel…
When I first heard Omah Lay ‘I’m a Mess’, I couldn’t help but think many of us can relate to the lyrics. We overthink. We feel misunderstood. We feel alone. We feel like a mess!
Well, we’re not a mess.
I created ‘TransparentC’ as on my journey to wholeness, I learnt many of us are experiencing the same things but, we don’t allow ourselves to be transparent, so we suffer in silence. We compare ourselves to others and may think the grass is greener, without knowing the reality of the other side.
We hold back on being transparent and sharing our honest experiences due to fear of judgement, being misunderstood or to keep up false appearances.
When we keep ourselves isolated, we get stuck in our head overthinking. Overthinking leads to our thoughts spiralling out of control… And unfortunately, it leads many to over drinking, drugs or depression. We also miss out on gaining wisdom from other people’s experiences.
However, I’ve learnt that when we open up, others resonate. We have more in common than we realise. The self-doubt, the anxious thoughts, the family situation, you name it. The situation may not be exactly the same but, the thoughts, emotions and actions are often the same.
So, why keep our experiences to ourselves? It could help someone else on their journey.
